Sweet Natalie, I am in awe of your writings and your beauty of the Soul. I am so blessed to have found you. You touch the essence of life and the present moment. I feel as if I am there in everything you write and your photography. Thank you, Elder, Terryanne
Having only recently come into enough sun for figs (and even still, perhaps not *quite* enough), our two trees are just starting to come into their own. One will bear no fruit this year, the other--twice the size of her sister--has given us just two ripe gems, a few that might yet ripen, and many dozens of tiny swellings that can't possibly size up before the weather shifts completely. Still, I'm hopeful! You are a rare and precious tree, Natalie, and the fruits of your labors are delightful.
Thank you always for your kind encouragement, Elizabeth! If you ever want/need more fig trees, I have plenty of cuttings of all sorts of heirloom varieties here on the shore. Last year was such an abundant fig year for us, that this year pales in comparison although we were still picking almost a gallon every other day for about a month. Each year is so different but I'm always grateful for the variety. I can never claim boredom!
I've never seen the"innards" of a fig before - so complex. Almost look like the innards of an organic being. I'll have to buy one at the farmers market! 😋 Beautiful writing as always! 💜
Hi Natalie. I would have loved to return this year to your weekend workshop on the farm. I was totally in the mood to come early, stay late, help out, and camp. But alas, the timing didn't work out and we will be accompanying my 95 year old Dad on a National Geographic cruise of the San Juan Islands. Most likely the last time we can do this with him. I hope you do it again next year!
We will miss you this year, Jody, but I hope you have a wonderful time with your dad and make so many memories and that you get to see some incredible wildlife and landscapes! We very much hope to do it again next year too.
Natalie, this is a beautiful piece of writing. Thank you for sharing it. ☮️💟

Thanks for the offer! I'm eager to see how my two newer friends fare. Persimmon is my next wish. I've had my eyes on Rosseyanka for years. ✴️
Rosseyanka is everything it's hyped up to be and more! I hope you plant one soon!!
